We live upstairs in an 18th century working boathouse on the south bank of the Avon. Downstairs, our neighbours Avon Boating have been sending Edwardian vessels, canoes and river cruises out from this spot for over a hundred years. Up here, the folding windows open onto a balcony over the water, with views from the Clopton Bridge to the Tramway bridge and the Royal Shakespeare Theatre behind. Reclaimed wood and bespoke furnishings keep a nod to the building at every turn.

We keep things simple and do them properly. Produce is sourced locally where possible, our fish and seafood is sustainably and ethically caught, our house drinks are carbon neutral, and the tea and coffee is fairtrade. Children are welcome, with a small kids menu that changes regularly, and our chefs will happily split portions from the adult menu. One tip for finding us: the entrance is on the right hand side of the building as you face the river. If your feet are wet, you have gone too far.
You do not have to be eating with us to drink with us. Our zinc bar and garden pour draught beers and lagers, names you know alongside craft and more unusual offerings, plus a hand picked wine list from near and far. There are classic and signature cocktails too, with alcohol free options and soft drinks. Under 18s are welcome in the garden bar until 6pm.
